Sydney Pool and Gas Heating: 37 new Google reviews since July

Sydney Pool and Gas Heating is a pool and gas heating business on ServiceM8. Since August the review side has run by itself: a job closes in ServiceM8, the customer gets a review request, and every review that comes in gets a reply naming the job and the suburb.

It asks every customer, every time, including the weeks the team is flat out, and the Google profile is now bringing in phone calls too.

Real reviews from real customers. Checked September 2026.

A new homepage and nine new pages, built in days

Their website was one homepage doing every job, and a single WordPress setting had hidden it from Google for months. I switched it back on, then rebuilt the homepage to lead with the work they want more of.

Before building anything, I researched the searches the new pages could target: how many people look for each one a month, how many businesses already compete for it, what the pages at the top of Google offer and what they leave out, and how hard they'd be to beat. Some of the biggest searches couldn't be won, so they didn't get a page.

That set the plan: nine new pages, each about one thing their customers search for, where the demand is real and the top results leave a gap. They're written from their own jobs, prices, photos and reviews wherever their records had them.

Within two weeks of going live, one of the new pages was bringing people in from Google. Across the whole site, Google search impressions over the last three months are up 800% on the three months before.

Most of that lift is the site being back on Google after months hidden. The new pages only went live from late August, so they've barely had time to add to it. Checked September 2026.

Peach Plumbing: its best run of calls from Google on record

Peach Plumbing is a licensed plumbing business on Sydney's Lower North Shore. Its website was invisible to Google when we met, so I fixed that first. Then I took over the Google profile and gave the owner a ready-made review request to send after each job.

Calls are the number that matters to the owner, and since June the calls from the Google profile have held at their best level on record. Reviews grew by 15 over the same stretch, and Google searches for the business by name have more than doubled.

“They’re basically saying it’s improved since I got rid of them. They were like, who have you got doing it?”
Owner, Peach Plumbing, on a call from its old SEO company

Real reviews from real customers. Calls counted from the Google profile, and the owner gets a one-page report like this every month.

Google Maps visibility · Sydney plumbing client

Blocked drains: from not found to the top three across 88% of the map

A Sydney plumbing client wanted more blocked-drain work. On the first Google Maps scan, the business didn't appear in the first 20 results at any of the 51 checked locations. Fifteen days later it was found at 50 of them, with 17 in the top three. Twenty-three days in, it's found at all 51, and in the top three at 45.

The changes came in two steps. First the verified business name and a new drain-first website, which got the business found. Then a working session brought the Google profile in line with the work it wants, including the right categories, and most of the top-three spots came after that. Several legitimate changes landed together, so this is a before-and-after, not proof that one edit did it or a promise of a particular rank.

Measured on the same 51-point local panel. Maps results vary by search location, competition and time.

Not found in the first 20 at any checked point

Before map scan: each of the 51 local points is marked 20, meaning the business was not found in the first 20 Google Maps results for blocked drains.

Website I designed and built

Peach Plumbing

A new homepage and six service pages for a local plumber on the Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore. Designed and built from scratch: fast on a phone, and every page set up for Google.

Before writing a page, I went through the business's own Google data: the searches people had already used to find it. For each service I then checked who Google puts at the top around North Sydney and what those pages offer. That set the search each page is built for, and the ones it doesn't chase.

Each page is written from the business's own finished jobs, not stock plumbing copy.
